Destruction confirma la salida de Mike Sifringer y anuncia a su sustituto

El guitarrista clásico de la banda de thrash metal alemana no seguirá en sus filas por motivos que no han sido especificados.

La banda alemana de thrash metal Destruction ha confirmado oficialmente la salida de su guitarrista clásico Mike Sifringer.

Su sustituto desde este momento es Martin Furia, un músico argentino que ha trabajado como ingeniero de sonido y productor para Nervosa o Evil Invaders. 

Después de varias semanas de rumores desde que Sifringer no apareciese en los recientes shows en directo de Destruction en algunos festivales, el líder del grupo, Marcel “Schmier” ha confirmado su salida.

“Estos dos años nos han puesto a prueba”

ha explicado Schmier en un comunicado.

“Nos apena confirmar que Mike deja Destruction. Ha sido un shock y nos ha impactado a todos pero no tengan dudas de que seguiremos adelante como banda. Somos una unidad muy fuerte y estamos orgullosos de dar la bienvenida a nuestro nuevo guitarrista Martin Furia. Nuestra química es buena ya que ha sido parte de la familia Destruction desde hace años. Es el tipo perfecto para el trabajo”

ha añadido Schmier.

Mike Sifringer se despide apenado

Sifringer, que llevaba meses sin presentarse a ensayos o grabaciones, ha explicado en un comunicado que

“es difícil abandonar una banda después de 39 años”. “Destruction es mi vida y mi bebé y a veces hay que tomar decisiones difíciles. Estoy muy triste pero si algo no te hace bien, es mejor dejarlo”.

Mike Sifringer ha dado las gracias a sus compañeros de banda y ha afirmado estar muy “orgulloso” de la música que han creado.
