I thought this would be a really quick and easy draw, but I had no idea what or how to do the background so have this random ball of light that can be easily explained as wizard magic or creepy cave monster.

Omg! You gotta do an OFF sprite tutorial! We yearn to learn your incredible way!

actually, i just use cancerlicious’ tutorial!! i guess another few pointers would be to use a small, pencil-like brush (i use pocket brush 1 from kyle’s megapack, size 5) and to not be picky with being polished enough (dont shade it perfectly).i could be wrong, but i think mortis ghost made his sprites traditionally with pencil before scanning his in? so i try to mimic that :)
