Alright, y'all, I did the digging. It would take me ages to pull and nicely compose everything here, so if you want to check that I got anything wrong, you'll have to go to the author's bsky, where she's answered what questions she could (and dealt very well with a little bit of harassment, get your shit together people).

-The novel is 90k words

-Takes place in one week, with flashbacks

-There will be some stuff about Astarion's life before Cazador, not so much his career, but his upbringing

-It's mentioned a few times that he's into multiple types of people, not exclusively men

-"There is sex. There is not, however, either love or a happily ever after."

-The blurb itself isn't the best, and she didn't write it, so at the very least, they got the OC's eye color wrong, who knows what else if anything

-Something along the lines of (I can't find it now) "Love Karlach. Also Wyll. But Astarion is the genderbent femme fatale of my heart."

And as we already knew, Neil is recording the audiobook and Stephen Rooney was involved to make sure things were right/made sense.

I think there was real love put into this. I already knew her to be a popular author not for nothing, so I wasn't worried about the quality of writing. But it's worth noting that she did talk with WOTC a lot and she is into DND. This was faithfully put in good hands, I think.
