A few things on the new season/ series in general of DMC.
1st season: fire, loved it. A banger soundtrack, a nice reimagining/adaption of the series. Not the same as the games, but that's ok. If I wanted the same as the games, I'd just replay them, duh. I liked the early 2000s aestheic that they got goin on here, even if they substituted the Iraq War on Terror for war on Makai. I get the allegory. I get the racism.
2nd season: again, banger soundtrack. Dante/Lady? Ehhh, I'm not a fan. At all. In fact, I dont recall any real romance aside from Nero/Kyrie in DMC 4, but I could be absolutely wrong. Now, do I believe Dante and Lady fucked in the past in the game verse? Sure. Absolutely. They seem the type. But to include it? Thats some balls by the writers. Also, the sound mixing, holy shit was it dog shit this season. I had to turn on subtitles to hear dialogs over the music. I haven't quite finished the last two episodes, but I will and come back to give more info.
Yes, is Adi Shankar a nepo baby? Probably. A Trump supporter? So I've heard. Can I separate the creator from the works? DMC? Sure. Mostly, because I've been a fan of it since I was in my 20s (I'm 40 now).
Also, if you don't like the show, what the actual fuck are you doing watching it? Get a life, go touch grass and watch something you do like, for god(s) sake. You have eyes and a brain (I assume) and fingers (also, I assume) to move the controller to switch to a different show, so make the change!
