Severance au where months before Helena gets severed, Mark’s car breaks down so Devon has to drive him to and from work for like a week or two, and during this time her and Helena keep lowkey making eyes at each other, just like quick glimpses before Mark either gets there or leaves depending on the time of day. Until one day Mark is late coming out (iMark got break-roomed) so Devon goes inside to find out what’s going on but lumon being lumon is not helpful until Helena comes up to see what’s going on for her and then while she waits they strike up a conversation because they’re both starved for companionship despite being surrounded with people, and they end up hitting it off. Like Devon and Mark have a very similar sense of humor and Mark’s humor gels well with Helena’s, so I feel like it would be the same for Devon.
Anyway Devon eventually drops Ricken for Helena, they both start to gain some self worth and a backbone through their relationship with each other and it’s beautiful. Helena having to still get severed now as a punishment for her relationship with Devon as well as a pr stunt. That otc moment when iMark was like “How’s our baby?” but it’s Helly saying it to Devon. The complicated mess of Helly during and after the otc realizing she likes both siblings (Devon will win out because she’s better and I love her lol). Devon and Helena going from sweethearts to toxic yuri real fast after the otc and Devon learns that lumon is hurting ppl and holding Gemma hostage and Helena knew this, but also Devon not being able to ignore how much Helena has been hurt by lumon too.
