“Thank you for seeing me, I know you must be busy,” Devon spoke as she stepped into the office, glancing around the familiar layout. Though that visit had nothing to do with the decorations, unfortunately. The blonde released a soft sigh, trying to contemplate her thoughts as she glanced back at the private investigator. “The gala had been lovely,” she commented. “Of course, until the rain of crows. Though that’s an entirely different matter.” Rubbing her temple, she shook her head. “Regardless, what I found out the next morning seemed to taint even some of those lovely moments.”
Devon had kept tabs on various hunter activities through the decades. Not that she considered herself a detective or anything of the sort. It had just been something she did in general. And recently, there seemed to be a new one in New York. “I was informed that an acquaintance of mine, a vampire, was killed later after the event. And... look. I could be wrong, but the various deaths I had mentioned to you before seem similar to this. I believe they were by the same person.”
