LLR, or as I like to call it: every npc is a horse
Although “SOULs” are no longer a culmination of one’s entire being/magic/power, but one’s Humanity, I think the physical manifestation of said Humanity still counts as a fun concept for LLR. That said, here’s the designs for the main Players’ Humanity that will pop up in the plot as they come.

Universe 777 and its Timelines
To understand how Long Lost Retribution works, we must first understand how the reality it exists in - that is, the ENDGAME multiverse, works.
So, in ENDGAME, we know there are Players who play the Endless Game of Reality on a Board made out of the multiverse. We know the Architect crafts every single Game and the Boards it is played on (including four to five practice boards). We know they may take on Apprentices who they will use to gain an Advantage over their competitors, and who they may teach to become Players in the future. We then have the Pieces, which could be Humans (Nimah), Forces, Guardians, or anything on the Board. We also have Outliers, who are those outside the Game’s control and may cause the Game to tilt.
We also know the basic differences between a Multiverse, a Cosmos, and a Universe, and their various life cycles. We know that there are several different layers within the Veil/Fabric of Reality, including what is called the In Between, and the basics about what Humanity is defined as.
But then, we have Universe 777.
In the Multiverse, there are countless universes all wrapped within the main Board. The Cosmos that the Player Chaos - that is, Player My’rath - inhabits, is a room. A room, more like a lounge, really, hidden away in an old vine-covered house that does and doesn’t exist, that grows in the In Between and the Veil itself, that no one can find on purpose yet strangers find by accident all the time. It is a place with no lights and no life, yet it is the liveliest and brightest place in there. Except for the lounge itself, of course, which is practically devoid of light at all except for the bright blue-purple hues cascading off a very peculiar looking coffee table set between three long couches and the empty fireplace on the other end of the room behind a plain wall-hung bed.
There is nothing filled with life in here. There are books, chairs, a desk with a lamp that no longer works, papers, pens, all sorts of little things like that. There is even a rotating map of a certain planet near and dear to the Orchestrator’s heart. No, nothing else is living, it is dead silent and dark and dormant within that room.
Except for one tiny little universe.
Universe 777 lives within - or rather, is itself - the coffee table-like practice board in My’rath’s home lounge. It presides in the safest room of the house, a place that My’rath both uses to leisure as well as an office for his plotting and Game playing. The five inch thick “glass” of the table is made up of the entirety of Universe 777, with four support beams that mimic the four cosmoses of reality in order to keep it up. Hovering a couple inches above the board is a single tube-like “florescent bulb” that lights the board up and surrounds a clear pane of glass that acts as the surface of the table. This tube, however, isn’t a light at all, but another timeline within the universe - Faerie Dust - that watches over, guards, and brings light to the board. Faerie Dust has no effect on the game being played within Universe 777, but does contain several Outliers who act as Observers for those who are toying with the lives within the board and has its own self-sustained Game going on within its barriers.
Within the Universe is numerous timelines and alternate timelines, so on so forth. Most of them are not visible to the naked eye, but there are three (four if you count Faerie Dust) that are. In the center of the table, dividing it cleanly in half length-wise, are the main three timelines of Long Lost Retribution. MIRRORVERSE, which is the center-most or “core” timeline, heads straight through the board, end to end. LONG LOST HOPE (LH) curves around the bottom-most part of MIRRORVERSE (MV), and DEVOTED RETRIBUTION (DR) curves around the top-most part of it. The slight curve of the outermost timelines provides a guard of sorts for MIRRORVERSE, as well as - when viewed from the perfect angle at the side - reveals the timelines true shape: the ENDGAME symbol, tailored to fit the Game they are playing in.
(The legs are much more decorative than this, I just had no patience to draw them as such.)
(The symbol, for clearer reference.)
The main LLR timelines - that is, LLH and DR - can and do connect both to MIRRORVERSE and the outside world. However, the two do not touch or connect with each other, despite looking almost like they do in certain angles. It is unclear why they don’t, and their separation forces cast members and any who visit them to touch base onto MIRRORVERSE first before leaping to the other timeline. There are only rare few pockets in both timelines where one can see the other, and they require the right time of day (night, usually) and the perfect angled spot to see the curvature of the timelines over the visibility of MIRRORVERSE.
These timelines are immune to the effects of time and space, meaning one can quite literally walk from end to end without passing through points in time. There is no “past” or “future” for these timelines; they are permanently stuck in the “present” and can be treated less as timelines, but more as individual worlds. They exist at any given point in time in the Game that Universe 777 holds, meaning the LLR cast is free to travel to whatever point in any other timelines they want without causing a ripple effect in the Universe. On top of that, those bound to this timeline do not age normally, either. Especially those in MIRRORVERSE, which has been so warped by its own existence that time makes no sense and neither does reality.
From the timelines themselves, one can typically only see the “land in the sky” (unless one is at those aforementioned points where the other timeline is visible) and The Beyond, where mysterious faces and eyes may be watching. What land is in what sky depends on your angle: from LLH and DR, MIRRORVERSE are the “lands in the sky” that you can see beyond the clouds. From MIRRORVERSE, both LLH and DR are “lands in the sky,” meaning if one looks up to the clouds, one will see the other timeline as well as the galaxies of the multiverse behind them. This is the only timeline where all three can be seen at once. From all three timelines, the multiverse and its galaxies are always visible as a backdrop.
Each timeline possesses varying landscapes for the cast to live in. There’s the permafrost of DR where Iret and Draco live, including the main ranch that houses most of the transportation of the timeline. There’s also a weeping willow forest that leads into a hot spring swamp where the Soothsayer and Time Traveler once lived, a high-brow victorian-themed “modern” technological city near the far end where the Entertainer and the Secret Keeper live, and a land scorched by flame and torn asunder in desolation where the Prophet stays.
On the opposite timeline, in LLH, the entire environment is made of crystal and glass, a place where Damsel stays and trains among the pillars of immovable and unbreakable gems and Kodi resides among the warm glowing waters and bioluminescent plant life. It’s said to be made of space dust itself, and has the biggest view of the Universe itself.
And then, there’s MIRRORVERSE.
MIRRORVERSE, on the outside, looks like nothing but hills, plains, mountains, and cliffs. It’s got all sorts of variants of open plains, some with multicolored grass and mountains to those who’s mountains are more or less rounded off, or even cut off into interesting shapes, including some floating structures. All sorts of creatures live there, however nothing sentient can be seen from end to end of the timeline. There are gates on the very ends of the timeline keeping those curious from getting in. Leaping into any of the giant gaping holes one might find on the surface will just spit you back out either at a random location, on the other side of the timeline, or back where you were. That, or cause you to disappear into the Void/In Between forever, as the rumor has it.
Lastly, the main three timelines seem to rotate throughout their place in space. Methodical, perfectly timed, as if the timelines themselves are living and breathing, fighting to stay alive despite the odds. It is believed that MIRRORVERSE is the one forcibly rotating all three, and that the rotation is a sign that the Game is still playable and winnable. Clockwise means that the “good” side is winning, counter-clockwise means that the “bad” side is winning. Should the timelines ever stop rotating, a tie or reset is surely on the horizon. The current rotation is clockwise, but is much, much slower than normal.
As a footnote, it is also important to note that Universe 777 cannot be hacked or tampered with by outside forces, and these posts cannot/should not be used as meta material for those outside the universe to use. Attempting to read code in any of its timelines - unless you are from one of its timelines - will result in a jumbled bunch of letters and words that make no sense and are not translatable in any language. Attempting to pawn Pieces will also get you shut out of the Universe by none other than the Conductors or Game Master themselves. The Universe does not take kindly to strangers meddling in it due to it being a very sensitively balanced Game, and it cannot be so easily interacted with by Readers or dirty Hackers.
Even Characters that can normally read meta or understand coding will have a hard time getting to know the ins and outs of the place from an insider’s point of view, meaning they must pull out of the universe itself and observe as an outsider, watching the Game take place from the room that the board is in. Unfortunately for most, the Universe and its Conductors/Orchestrator do not take kindly to visitors in their outside realm, meaning those who are outside are bound by heavy rules and regulations according to the Multiverse Law.
