26. what's a kink you've changed your opinion on? (happy friday!)
There’s so many! I’ve changed my mind on tons of kinks as I’ve grown into the kink community, even ones I don’t subscribe to. But I would say the most obvious one from my blog these days would be fauxcest/incest. I grew up reading shitty online incest erotica cause it was so readily available, it had a lot more emotional pull to the relationships than the pornos I’d find online, and maybe it was also a little comforting to read about those things from other people considering my own experiences with CSA. But for the longest time I hid it, condemned myself for it, and would actively block and police my and other’s presences on tumblr to avoid it. At some point I realized the people I had crushes on, my friends, my mutuals, they were all engaging with the same kink and I needed to stop trying to play police with my and others thoughts. It’s just a dynamic you can play with, one that makes a lot of sense considering the depth of emotion and connection we all have attached to these relationships from simply existing.
