Bobbi had always loved the water, she’d grown up swimming and had kept up a pretty regular swimming regiment when she’d moved with Chris to Colorado. Of course, there weren’t quite as many chances to swim in the current world, but someone had managed to drag back a small plastic kiddie pool, and while it was too small for her, it was the perfect size to let Puck splash around in.
So she’d dragged it out to the front yard of House 101 and spent a good chunk of her morning filling it with water by hand. But it was all worth it, to see the normally quiet and reserved Puck, start to splash and play like he was enjoying a normal childhood.
Of course, Bobbi herself couldn’t avoid the allure of cool water on a hot Summer day, and she found herself sitting in the water with her legs splayed out to fit in the pool. Her cut off jean shorts were soaking wet, and she knew it was going to be incredibly uncomfortable when she stood up, but she couldn’t bring herself to care.
Cupping her hands, Bobbi poured water over the three year old’s curly hair, laughing as he shrieked in surprise and happiness. There was a heartbeat of panic as he began to reel back, and Bobbi’s hand snaked out to grab his arm in a tight grip. His direction switched from falling outside the kiddie pool to sitting down in the water. Taking a quick second to breathe a sigh of relief, Bobbi released Puck and leaned back slightly.
