Coming out to teachers letter
Copies of the following letter will be given to each of my teachers once I go back to school in the fall, with signatures from my parents and (hopefully) my guidance consoler. "(Teacher's name and title), I am excited to be in your class for the upcoming school year! I want to make you aware of a situation pertaining to me so as to make the coming year easier. I am a male, transgender student. Unfortunately, I cannot change my gender in the school roster, thus the need for this letter. I answer to he/him/his pronouns and would ask you to refer to me as a boy. I also go by my middle name, Rose. If you have any questions, please take them up with me privately outside of class, email me at (email), or call me at (phone #). Thank you for understanding, and again I am excited to be your student.
