How's the weapon hunting going? (Aka. Finding a good weapon you could use for turf war) Any luck finding a lightweight stringer?

Okay so I'm finally back and able to get on chumblr again after the worst days of consecutive shifts I've had in a while ᔦ T-T ᔨ

After three different visits at Ammo Knights during the usual "big run is coming so I better get myself a new weapon" craze, I was finally able to get myself a N-ZAP '89!! Wasn't able to take any pictures due to just how crowded the place was, and since I know I won't be able to play until after the Big Run, I'll wait until it's over to unbox it and play my first ever match! ᔦ ^^ ᔨ

I did ask Sheldon for advice regarding other weapon options that would fit my disability, though due to how overcrowded it was all I got was "something something reflux (?) but might be hard for a new player, something something consider wiper (?)" - so yeah, I think I'll just pay him another visit once the store has less people.

Soooooo I've been having this question that has been nagging at me for a while now

How common is it to like, have your beak damaged by getting hit with a splatana? ᔦ ˘⁠･･⁠˘ ᔨ

I've read sooooo many horror stories about people breaking their beaks because someone hit them with a Decavitatator real hard and that kinda has made me jump a lot when I see one during the few matches I get to play ahaha ᔦ ^^” ᔨ

No worries, those are not common at all! ᔦ^^ᔨ They're just scary to think about, and so those stories make the rounds quickly. You only really get those if you're.. basically asking for it. I've had someone come in with a broken beak from that exact weapon, and their explanation is that they made no effort to dodge it or avoid it, intentionally diving face first since "they thought they could tank it"... So yeah, have the slightest sense of self preservation and you'll be good! ᔦ'v'ᔨ

Health PSA!

After seeing how many people don't know about this I though I would share: if your hands or feet feel weird or slippery after a turf war match, check if they take longer to switch back from your squid/octo form! If they do then watch out, because it could be an early stage of atramentoliquaemia (or "Leaking Hands/Feet"), which can worsen and even become permanent if left untreated! Here's a pic of my own hand (which sadly cannot be healed :[ ) for reference - if it looks anything like yours, then go get yourself checked out asap!
