He thinks it’s just that he likes new faces -- that must be the reason he still flicks the cards under the doors
( or in the mailboxes, or on bushes outside. anywhere he can get them really ),
despite having enough customers to keep him steady and living comfortably. It’s all that Alice girl’s fault; she’d started this in him, and now here he was. The same for millennia, and now changed. Disgusting.
( even still, he does like the new faces, even if he likes to pretend he doesn’t )
