(Alastor) A polite knock came to Zephos' room door. Outside waited the Radio Demon, a hand behind his back and his mic holding the other. His permanent smile in place. One of his ears flicked as he waited to see if the fae who occupied the room would give him the time of day. (( Oooh here we go ))
Zephos was reading a book in her room, an old tome of some kind from the hotel's library. It pertained to a newer concept to her, the art of self defense. After her recent conversations with friends of hers, she found it pertinent to read up on it. Vaggie had already offered to train her, and between the imps she knew and cared for giving her advice to not put herself as last for needs met, she figured this would be a good idea to show she was willing to do what it took to survive.
Then she heard a knock at the door. That struck the fae as odd. Most didn't knock unless they announced their presence. Placing a spare strand of yarn as a makeshift bookmark in her book, Zephos would call softly, "Coming, just a moment."
She would tread gently across the carpet of her hotel room, toward the door. Upon opening it, she wasn't sure who to expect, so she said, "What may I help with..."
Her friendly demeanor changed in an instant. Upon seeing who it was, her tail shifted from a soft sway to frozen in place, the fur on it bristled and spade heart end toward the ground. Her ears pinned slightly, eyes opening just a touch wider than usual. Her commonly perfect posture also sharpened as though straightened from her usual, the soft smile she had immediately shifting to a look of surprise.
Zephos hadn't expected him at the moment, or at all. She stood her ground attempting to recover, after all this was her home too for the time being. The Lady would fold her hands together and unpin her ears, an active action, a tiny polite smile meeting Alastor's permanent grin. She was attempting to be polite; he hadn't done anything suspicious since knocking at the door. He wouldn't attack her outright here in the hotel, would he?
"Alastor, I wasn't expecting you." Her voice usually was gentle as autumn breeze with the soft bells of spring had the cold of winter frost touching her pleasant fae accent.
She would continue, attempting to sound cordial, "Did Her Highness send you to ask me something, or are you here on your own accord?" The fae's eyes were on Alastor, watching his every move like a rabbit analyzing a wolf's next move, her silver eyes piercing despite the attempted niceties. She honestly wasn't sure why he was here of all people, what could he possibly want?
