Okay, so I decided to post this here because what the heck.
I’ve been trying to pick up drawing again. Used to draw a lot as a teenager, but I’m terrible at drawing people. Which is exactly what I want to be able to do. Sadness.
But recently I got my hands on an iPad, so I decided to buy myself a stylus pencil and try the digital thing. Obviously, it’s going horribly. If anyone has any good tips for anatomy resources, I would appreciate it. There is a lot online and I have tried so much (though mostly with a pencil and paper and digital stuff feels somewhat different), so maybe it would be nice hearing what worked for people as they practiced.
Also if anyone here has worked with Sketchbook, any tips? Even though procreate is rather cheap, I’m not sure if I want to invest in something I might give up later (because I know myself and how when I get frustrated with things, I just drop them). So in the meantime, I’m using Sketchbook and god, brushes are hard. Wtf I’m doing?
In any case, I’ve been trying tracing these days, since I know some artists do it to speed up their process or to get poses right etc, as well as it might be some sort of practice anyway, so here is the thing I did tonight and I don’t entirely hate it. James Potter of sorts? I dunno. But what are colours!!!! (And how does one use them!!!) (Also Christ, how do you even draw hair?!?!!)
