Diamond Multimedia
I bought a Diamond Multimedia Radeon HD 6770 video card about a year and a half ago. It lasted 6 months then died. So I sent it back for RMA and they replaced it.
With a refurbish that died the second time I booted up my computer.
I sent this one back, and they sent me one with a different style of heat sink, and I was happy with this for a while.
It died after 8 months.
When I contacted the RMA department yet again, they agreed to replace it, but this would be the last time since it was past the 1 year warranty. I considered that this was fair and equitable, and sent my card in again.
They sent me back a Radeon HD 5550. This is a SIGNIFICANT downgrade from the 6770. I felt genuinely insulted. I contacted them YET AGAIN, and sent the card back to them. That was 3 weeks ago today. They have repeatedly told me "We will ship it out today." That's what the tech said 15 minutes ago when I called.
I have been repeatedly lied to, insulted, and at one point accused of not sending in my card when they sent me a replacement. I still have the tracking number and proof they signed for it.
Never again will I buy a Diamond Multimedia product, and I will tell those I know not to either. If I do not have a tracking number for the box that has been sent in half an hour, I will copy this entire message, and post it on every single page I can find with Google, as a review on every single Diamond Multimedia product. Every card on Newewgg, Tiger Direct, Micro Center. Every small retailer suggested by Google search.
I am pissed off, and I am ready to carpet bomb their entire internet presence with the truth about the way their customer service people treated me.
TL;DR: Do NOT buy Diamond Multimedia products.
