A fan character for @zal001's Misfits in Toyland!

Chance Callista was a private eye who prided himself on being able to take any disguise and slip into any role in order to dig up the information he needed. He wasn't picky about jobs he took either; he did several gigs for people who wanted to track down exes among other folks of ill repute.

After getting Krampused, Chance ended up as a doll with a blank face - perfect for drawing on. She takes new roles around Toyland based on the face that's drawn on her and who drew it, and typically ends up with play brain easily. (She also comes with a wide variety of outfits and a re-recordable voice box!) She now goes by CC, which stands for something different based on which role she's playing.

Merle of Dionaea, a fairy from a clan that used to be hidden deep within a magical forest, but thanks to modern civilization is now not far from a small city.

Merle was attacked by a badger at one point that resulted in the loss of her left arm, her left eye, and her wings. Her clan had the means to save her life but not accommodate her, so she spent most of her days in a knothole in a tree, waiting for people to come talk to her or spend time with her or anything really.

One day, a mysterious vehicle appeared at the edge of the forest. Merle managed to get out of her tree and stow away, eager to do something, anything, new with her life. The vehicle was in fact the Last Dance, a spaceship owned by the star-hopping immortal rock band the Cosmic Generation (in town to play a small venue under the guise of HUGG, a KISS tribute band).

On the ship, the band had a toy keyboard that was Merle's size, and she pulled it into a hiding spot to try it out. Unfortunately, the hiding spot was an air vent, and after a week or two of thinking the Last Dance was haunted, the band found her.

The ship's engineer (also in charge of pyrotechnics) thought that designing tiny prosthetics would be a "fun way to kill an afternoon" and set her up with a cybernetic eye, arm, and wings. (The wings are also hard light and can appear and disappear at will.)

Now she plays keyboard for the Cosmic Generation under the stage name Requiem, adopting a persona that's inspired by the knights from her clan - larger than life, crude, and unflinchingly confident.

Nina Steele, a young heiress from the 1920s. Her family owns the luxurious Steele Point on the outskirts of Silent Springs; she regularly hosts balls there for the crossdressing community of the era.

At least, that is, until her untimely death.

Flash-forward 100 years, well after the last of the Steele family has died. Steele Point is lonely and quiet. Nina is eager to have people around again. So she puts an ad in the paper for a room to rent, hoping for someone fun to respond.

Eventually, she ends up as CC Callista's assistant, possessing a pair of her old reading glasses so that she can tag along to crime scenes. She lets CC see in the dark and through walls, and offers useful advice. (At least, so she says.)

Green Pharmacy (it/she)

A mimic is granted sentience and then has to blend into human society and stuff, it sucks. It picks a name that the one of the "bigger mimics" is using (and then much later realizes that the bigger mimic was actually just a building). It uses the humans it sees on billboards and screens and magazines to figure out what it should look like.

Of course, it can also look like just about anything else.
