MAURÍCIO GUGELMIN and West Surrey Racing team boss DICK BENNETTS, with a noticeable guest of honour, AYRTON SENNA, at the final race of the 1985 BRITISH FORMULA THREE CHAMPIONSHIP
"So this is the final round at Silverstone Grand Prix and Ayrton arrived, and we had tested for two days and got the car trimmed down to low, very low downforce. Ayrton kept saying, "Dick you haven't got enough downforce, the others have all got a lot of wing on." I said, "Don't worry Harry [Ayrton's nickname], we're under control." He kept saying, "No no no, you haven't got enough wing on," he kept on tapping me on the shoulder, and he was still looking at it then, just about to start the race. I said "Do not worry, we've done the testing two days, all Maurizio had to do was beat Andy Wallace off the line and we're gone," and sure enough we won the race comfortably so we won the championship" - Dick Bennetts [x]
