Kicking back with some #dickvandikeshow after a long day of pattern making, and adjusting, and mix & matching, and drafting, and draping, and ugh! But I love it. :) When working on an original concept drawing, I like start with a pattern I know, mock it up in muslin, pin it to my dress form and then go crazy with adjustments and such. It gives me a great base to work off of for new patterns. Looking forward to finishing this costume for wonder-con and getting through this last bit of recovery from my surgery last week! Fingers crossed it's the last one for a while! Nothing like getting that gym membership and then being told no strenuous exercise! 7 stitches and a week of rest later and I can finally sleep on my side again... kinda! Yay!
