My oh my!
And who will this dashing devil be??~ 🌤
So it fucking turns out we’ve had a subsystem this whole time and had no idea because the concept of subsystems was never super well explained to us. All of our intense horror related headmates? All part of a subsystem under Gush. That makes so much more sense now.
Examples of headmates included in this subsystem:
Pennywise, “IT” fictive
Mother Gooseberry and Dr. Futterman, “Outlast: Trials” fictives
Dolores, original brain-made
AM, “IHNMAIMS” fictive
Betelgeuse, “Beetlejuice” fictive
There’s probably others that I can’t currently think of. But holy shit. This makes so much sense.
🕳 HANGING OUT WITH SFF, I HEARD THEY'RE IN FUCKIN' CUSTODY! 👄
Parasitic sub-system :
when a sub-system is vizualised in the innerworld as multiple alters in one host, being able to take control of the host and influence their mood, state of mind and actions. The members inside the host can leave the innerworld body of the host but will have to come back at some point for whatever reason.
For example, in our case these "parasites" cannot control the vessel on their own since they are still too connected to Luxy's (my) identity and form but they are too seperate from their host to be considered "THE Luxy".

This song gave me the idea to coin this term btw. Its a good song imo
how do you discover sub systems
it depends on the system really
for us two of our subsystems were discovered pretty differently. one of them split as a subsystem full of fictives from the same media and it basically felt like 16 alters splitting all at once in one package. we kinda just Knew and lemme tell ya it was not good times. another we didnt discover until the subsys host had a really bad dissociative episode and realized that the voices in his head weren't voices and were subsysmates (that was me with syspool, was the weirdest thing ive experienced so far)
sometimes subsystems will make themselves known, other times they'll be a lot more hidden. it depends on the system and the circumstances surrounding said subsystem
>> 🎭: the one fragment to have no personality at all, and they've got the most name-sounding name of all us! isn't that absolutely, marvelously entertaining?
>> 🎭: rest of us were labeled as mere tools.. "mask", "mantle", "knife"... excluding the fictive fragments, of course!
>> 🎭: except this lovely "host" of ours. "ant", was it?
>> 🎭: ha! more like a "puppet", or "computer"! that would be way more fitting!
>> 🎭: this post would make little sense, i know. we'll make an intro soon. ;}

Turns out, when you’re surrounded by trauma, subsystem stuff can occur!
