”I heard you can bend lightning. Cool.” - Eska
This. Caught her off guard. Praise? Even from a very strange waterbender nonetheless. Furrowing her brow Azula had to pause for a moment and try and analyze the situation. A strange waterbender--- person approached her and simply gave her a very odd turn of phrase, complimenting her?
Azula was used to people pointing out her unique bending, in more modern times Lightning Bending seemed to be more and more common. When she had first learned to control and summon it only herself and her uncle truly could harness that power, now so many others knew and had lost sense of how unique of a talent it was.
" Indeed, cool would be a correct way of assessing it. My Uncle would call lightning the cold-blooded fire. Astute observation. " Awkward. Azula had no real understanding as to how to react to a strange compliment. How is calling lightning or fire cool a compliment? These new phrases and ideals were so foreign to Azula that while she tried not to take offense could still not understand how one could take it as a compliment.
“Here.” Eska shoved a mostly untouched bowl of hot noodles in Bolin’s face. “You like this? Eat it.” Her way of saying she didn’t want it.
Bolin looked up from his own bowl with his cheeks still filled with the noodles he already slurped up; while he enjoyed savoring food, he had a habit of shoving as much into his mouth as possible — just to, you know, maximize the flavor. While chewing, he silently looked to and from Eska and her bowl then back at his own, noticing the difference in the amount that was in the both of them.
"You're not hungry?" was what he was trying to say, but it was muffled due to his mouth still being full.
