This is the first time I've had a moment to reflect on last night. I want to start by saying I've never had a better, more bittersweet experience than Hostage Calm's final performance. I've never seen energy like that engulf an entire room. It was a combination of true sadness and pure excitement. A lot of me feels like Hostage Calm didn't play that set for us. The crowd, the Connecticut community of the past ten years came together and did that for Hostage Calm. There were people there who were there at the start in 07. There were people like me who came in late but felt that same love and passion for this family. There were some who were seeing HC for the very first time. It was truly special and I'll never forget it. To @hostagecalm and specifically @cmarhostagecalm, thank you. I'll never know just how to say that in the right way but I hope you understand the impact your band and your message had on me. After the set almost all of my practically 30 friends at the show searched for me because they wanted to be there for me in the end. I watched as people around me embraced on and off the stage. No matter how close they were to the band everyone had felt the same way. I hope this send off was more than satisfactory. The band may be dead but I'll love this music forever. #DieOnStage Photo by @johnkphoto
