you ever think about the fact that the siren in epic couldn't tell that Odysseus isn't scared of the water, or that he didn't have a daughter, didn't know he was running from Poseidon, couldn't get anything from him because of the beeswax in his ears - except the image and sound of his wife, because Penelope is so clear and constant and present in his mind that it was the only thing the siren could accurately show him?
