Prayer and Fear
I’m afraid of telling someone in despair that God will answer or they’ll get their breakthrough when I don’t know what God will do. I believe God hears us, I also believe Christians have hope even in death, and God CAN break every chain. I just don’t know how, when, and if that’s what he wants to do. I’m not saying God wants us to be miserable, but there are countless places in the Bible where the believer asked God to do something, but it was not God’s will so he didn’t. And those who stayed steadfast trusting God saw the move of God through difficulty. Two prime examples are Jesus in the garden before crucifixion and Paul when he prays about the thorn in his side.
So I don’t know, I want to be bold when I speak to people though....
