So, yesterday I found a little abandoned kitten outside of my grandmothers house. I waited for over 6 hours for the mom to come back but she never did and I took him in.
He is only about 2 weeks give or take a day or so, and his eyes are just beginning to open. I called him my little nugget.
My family is going through some difficult times so we had to find a foster or a rescue or someone that could take him in long term, even though I was willing and able to do it. He got picked up around noon, and it was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I miss my little nugget.
I woke up every two to three hours last night to feed him, loved on him, stimulated him, and kept him warm. He was doing really well. I know that giving him to this lady was probably better for him, as she works from home and has done younger cats and dogs before (not one this young, but she know how to do it), and would be able to spend more time with him. I just miss him and his little mews. His little paws. The little tail, nose and ears that hadn't opened yet.
Ugh, I'm rambling. I just needed to get this off my chest. I know I did the right thing, but I was already getting attached. It just sucks that I couldn't keep him.
