Introduction to digital CG

This week I learnt how to apply UV editing to an object and how to apply patterns or textures to a cereal box and a bird. I found the lesson very difficult so i researched more on UV editing. I researched into the functions of the settings in the view bar and the functions of all the tools in the tool kit.

Weekly summary 28/01/19

This week I modelled a pencil and a radio. Throughout modelling the pen i became more familiar with modelling techniques such as and divisions to create a polygon shape for the pencil and extrusion. I was very pleased with the outcome of my radio model, however i would like to finish it in the future. Modelling the radio taught me a lot about using symmetry settings to uphold consistency when modelling.

31/01/19: Today I began modelling a radio in Maya. I was very satisfied with the progress i made today. I learnt new techniques such using the reflection tool do insure consistency and to increase the speed of modelling. I also learnt how to create a image plane and import an image to that plane. To improve this exercise i will add colour to the model and finish the exercise.
