Another look at the Dior Addict Lip Tattoo - Dior's brand new matte lip tint, for Summer 2017! This is my grandma modelling shade 761 Natural Cherry. I'm afraid I'm still in two minds about this lip product due to the consistency. It's a tough one to show in photo's because the light effects the consistency & can make the shade seem darker, which then makes it look thicker. L-R: SUNLIGHT (1 coat) - SUNLIGHT WITH FLASH (1 coat) - SUNLIGHT (2 coats). You can see the areas that the lip tint has thinned & feathered around the lips. We tried adding another layer to see if this would help, but it still ran at certain places. Normal lip tints really soak into the lips & dry quickly, which can then make the lips dry, but give a very natural, non-glossy effect. This was almost the opposite. Not a lot was absorbed by the lips, so the product sat on the lips, which meant the lips didn't have that usual dry, tight feeling to them, but it also meant it didn't look very natural and gave a very big glossy effect. BUT! I'm still experimenting with it - I don't want to give up on these lovely shades! I've had better luck using a lip brush & only applying a tiny amount at once - almost like layering an eyeshadow. This allows it to dry quicker + absorb better. The built in brush is well made & it fits the contours of the lip, but you do get a large amount on it, so it is harder to use sparingly. I think it would also work better with a primer base & will be testing that out, then upload pictures of that soon - in the other shade 261 Natural Coral. :) So, is this ❤️ or 😿? Has anyone else had better results, or have any secrets to share for a better outcome? Here's a first look at the Dior Addict Lip Tattoo - Dior's brand new matte lip tint, for Summer 2017! They come in 4 different shades & as you can see I have 2 of them - 451 Natural Coral & 761 Natural Cherry. The other 2 shades are natural nude/brown toned shades. First impressions - I can certainly say that the Lip Tattoo's are definitely long lasting, as Dior described - I tried to wash these off my hands only a few minutes after searching and was left with a bright stain that took over a day (and a bath) to finally wash off! Of course the skin of your lips is very different, plus there is eating & drinking to take in to account, so don't worry about them staining your lips for that long, but you can definitely expect a long lasting hold. They are of a very light, thin consistency, feeling quite watery, & weightless, but I wouldn't exactly say the shades I have look natural! :) With that being said the feel is very soft & natural + colour aside, if these can give a 2nd skin effect then maybe I can see if I can fool people in to thinking I have bright orange lips! 😸 My only worry is that they do seem very watery & when my grandma tried the cherry shade on her lips, it didn't seem to absorb a great deal (I have photos I will upload once I have photos of me trying the coral shade) - it also didn't sink in any further than you see here on the back of my hand, but I did put quite a bit on for the photo! However, I am going to have a proper play around with them later today! They are already out nationwide, in select shops, but should hopefully be launching in more places towards the end of April.
