On our Kilimanjaro summit day, the power of the sunrise was unbelievable. We went from feeling like crap (especially Chris) to feeling unstoppable as soon as we started to see light on the horizon over Mowensi Peak. @emilyabriner continued to stay focused on the summit and picked up her pace as the sun started to light the snow under our feet and I ran around the group taking photos and trying to commit everything I was seeing to memory. I knew we wouldn't get to stay long. Emily summited along with #TheCraigBarlow and me, and we were joined by the rest of the group a couple minutes later.
