Disability in Fashion
Something I am truly passionate about due to my family is how disability is presented in the media, including fashion. Perfection is so often the image projected onto society as how you have to be to make it in the industry, however the fashion world is adapting to modern times and it’s time to ensure disabilities are not seen as something to be ashamed off but to embrace wholeheartedly.
For my article I would love to explore how someone with a disability feels they are represented in the fashion industry and how they think it can improve for more inclusion. It’s time to celebrate difference rather than hide it away. Diversity is important for a modern and successful society, lets start acting like it.
