sam was VP of asian american students assoc. at stanford....... their mama's name is Mari!! but yt people kept calling her Mary or Marie :| sam's relationship to religion is pretty similar to canon but instead of believing in the Judeo-Christian God, he believes in a god. idk. dean is darker skinned than sam! (gets mistaken for a latino man sometimes because white ppl are... dumb. this has happened several times to my own brother lmao)
ALSOO dean is trans in this so one of his fav memories of his mama is when they'd celebrate hinamatsuri (girls day) and eat a shit ton of hina arare <3 despite this sam is the only one that makes any effort to connect to their culture because john didn't raise them in it when mari died :/ actually bobby is the one to try to teach them japanese!!

omg toshiro mifune my best friend toshiro mifune. i didn't consider him before but now i want to include him 🥺 first thought was Bobby but for narrative reasons he has to be white :/ do you have any ideas??! maybe....mari's father.. with his most classic looks as an old but cool and intense man, like in Yojimbo/Rashomon :)
