After spending some time in the Swedetown Creek Gorge, we climbed out on the Dam Hill to pick up the Vista Trail in order to ski over to the Mud Lake Loop to pick up the portion we missed on our recent ski.

On Sunday we went up to Calumet to ski at Swedetown with our hiking group. We have been having quite a stretch of usually warm weather for January with several days near 40. Although the warm weather made it very foggy, the skiing conditions were surprisingly decent! We squeezed in 11K before grabbing dinner at Carmelita’s back in Calumet.

Old Log Cabin in the snow in the Angeles National Forest at Angeles Crest Highway. I found this old Log Cabin near the place where I photographed the Snow Birds on January 10, 2022. It was so interesting checking this old Log Cabin inside and out, as shown in this slideshow!
