3 main points I learned from reading my article:
1. In this article I learned that the beauty world has been a lot more accepting that I thought they were. “The formerly exclusive beauty world has been increasingly inclusive with the celebration of ‘beauty boys”’. Even though it’s not 100% accepted and there’s still some negative responses, I felt that way more people would have a negative opinion as it has changed social norms.
2. The beauty enthusiasts that have came out and shared their passion for makeup have made others feel more comfortable and open to their passion for beauty.
3. “Beauty boys” have broken down the gender roles. As many people have always had their stereotypes, that makeup was for women, this new social norm has broken down that stereotypes and has showed that just because a man wears makeup doesn’t make them gay or transgender. It’s more accepting now.
