I was reading a load of creepy stories on /r/nosleep yesterday and then I went into school and one of the first things disdemona said to me was “after this I think I’m going to go and walk around the graveyard” omg

hello yes let's talk about Monet :P I love his paintings a lot! x

Hello!  Yes, oh my goodness let’s please!  He’s my favorite artist!  My favorite feature of my room is his paintings I have tacked up on the walls (✿◠‿◠).  My knowledge of art comes from a senior humanities class and freshman art history course, so I really know next to nothing about art lol.  But I love to appreciate it!  Impressionism is my favorite because it walks this tightrope between realism and artistic interpretation.  What makes Monet my favorite is how he captures landscape’s (also examining the blend of his brush strokes up close).  My all time favorite painting is the Magpie because he’s somehow managed to express that exact feeling of cold/calm/serenity winter possesses.  It leaves me breathless.  What are your favorite aspects?  Of either Monet or other artists if you’d like to talk about them!  I love talking about and listening to people talk about art <3
