Just a little short yume fic of Costume and my sona. Might not be much but eh it’s something to get me back in my writing spirit.

Warnings = Costume’s murderous background does sort of get mentioned and a slight mention of committing murder but no murder gets committed (does this count as a warning? Idk putting it here just in case)

“...do we really need to do this Gummi?” I hear Costume grumble to himself as he carried a beach umbrella alongside some other items like towels, shovels, plastic toys to make sand castles out of and much more. But me on the other hand I wasn’t paying much mind to his grumpy behaviour. I formed a tight grip on the handle of the basket I was carrying that was full of food and drinks the two of us could drink but knowing his stubbornness on not revealing himself it probably just be me. “Oh come on stabby boy what’s the harm in relaxing for once?” I teased him with the nickname and though he had the costume head on I could tell he was rolling his eyes “first off all you know damn well why and second quit it with the nickname” he told me off but his harshness didn’t faze me. “And that’s why we’re having this vacation because you’re too tense with your past and you need to relax.” I told him though still somewhat playful did have a slight seriousness in it. I tilted my head putting on a fake show of me being upset “plus you actually promise that you’re actually going to do this. Just for today go along with it please?” I added on, giving Costume those puppy dog-like eyes. He just looked at me for a moment before sighing to himself and mumbling something under his breath “I swear you’re going to be the death of me some day.” Hearing his defeat a little chuckle came out of my mouth “trust me killing you is the last thing on my list” I joked with him causing him to let out an amused scoff “look how about over there, there’s practically no one so you won’t get spotted okay?” I said pointing towards a seemingly isolated area knowing how Costume hated being in the open. He looked over to where I pointed and said “looks good enough.” he said, causing me to immediately head over there like an impatient child. Costume let out a tiny chuckle before following me not that far behind me.
When the two of us arrived at the spot I happily placed down my basket before helping Costume with the stuff it had in its hands. “Are you sure you won’t get too hot in that Costume?” I asked as I layed out the towels we had. “I would’ve turned into a puddle of goop if I was in your place.” I said to it, “I’m used to the heat..” Costume replied back as it started to set up the beach umbrella “that’s what happens when you spend years pretending to be a well known game mascot.” it added on as it finished setting up the umbrella. I just sighed before plopping myself on a towel looking around the area noticing the waves crashing in “don’t the waves look beautiful Costume?” I said out loud causing it to look at them before sitting down next to me “Eh…more of a forest person but they do look nice.” I turned my head toward it with a smile on my face “wanna take a dip?” I asked “no I’m good…not getting wet.” Costume immediately replied back, causing me to pout slightly “aww alright.” I said, causing Costume to tilt its head “I’m not stopping you Gummi if you want to go then go.” Costume said trying to encourage me to go but I stood my ground. “I want to stay by your side so if you're not going I’m not either.” Costume let out an amused chuckle before saying “You're definitely a stubborn one aren’t you?” it teased me causing me to play into it “it’s one of my best qualities” I said before laughing it off “Let’s just chill out for a bit, alright?” I said before laying on my back making Costume think for a bit before replying back “y’know what…sure.” it said before laying on its own back.
…maybe this vacation thing wasn’t a bad idea overall.
I’m trying to draw a roleswap of a self ship between my sona and costume where basically my sona takes Costume’s place and the reverse goes for Costume. I just realised I’m drawing costume’s arm on the same layer as the pose reference.
It isn’t too much but still when I realised it made me feel like this.
After the previous post I decided to give into the urges and draw costume if there was a person underneath it (check my previous post for context not sure if I worded this right lol). I’m actually really proud of this and like it a lot so I decided to post it. This is just my personal headcanon of what he would look like so if you don’t agree that’s fine. ~Blaze/Dawn

Ngl this is sort of a self ship art. I’ve just been so obsessed with him lately it’s honestly unreal. Also I was going to shade this but to be honest I can’t be bothered. I might at some point do it though to which I’ll update this post. ~Blaze/Dawn
