phil brooks is a rather polarizing figure. you either adore him or hate him, there's no middle ground and — quite frankly — he doesn't care where you stand. his heart's in the right place; he cares deeply about important causes and stands up social justice. the man is outspoken, for better or for worse. if you ask him? he's just being honest.

hardened by a childhood surrounded by alcoholism, he's continued to abide by a straightedge lifestyle and identifies as atheist. he isn't the warmest person as a result, but if he truly respects you, he'll be your best, most loyal friend through thick and thin.

this is my first time playing him, but as a chicago resident, it feels like a rite of passage loll. in this portrayal, he has been previously married but since divorced (possible plot/connection? i'm open to anything!). at the moment, no history with aj lee.

if a young simon could see himself now, there's very little he'd actually change. after a devastating shoulder injury left him to waste away at home with nothing but a bout of depression, he sought to reinvent himself. like an unconventional butterfly from a cardboard cocoon, he returned with a newfound purpose and desire to prove himself. overall, simon is eloquent, a bit scatterbrained, flamboyant, and unabashedly himself. he will always be among the first to stand up for others as well as advocate for mental health (and he'd be the first to admit he probably spends too much time fighting strangers on the internet). in some ways, he tends to be a little wise beyond his own years — yet immature in others.
