A short summary of her backstory: She grew up around constant abuse, each parent figure in her life treating her like shit one way or another, but she still tried to see the good in the world, to have faith. When she turned 18 she got a job at a circus trope as a mime. She needed money but didn't really wanna talk to people because of her social anxiety so she figured being a mime was the perfect occupation for her. She was wrong as her boss SUCKS and is very manipulative towards her as well. Her boss realized quickly that Krys is extremely cowardly and easy to manipulate, already messed up from years of abuse before. Using her obedience he decides to make her do his dirty work. Selling drugs, robbery, even murder. Krys actually really doesn't like violence and she's never liked what she did for him, but she doesn't use that as an excuse to be a better person. She did what she did for survival but a lot of times she wishes she chose death for herself over taking someone else's life, after all no one would've cared if she was gone. She ended up getting caught and Blonde Blazer took her into the Pheonix Program, specifically the Z-team. At this point Krys also can't speak as her boss put a tracker/listening device in the back of her neck. After everything with Shroud she decides to trust and rely on the Z-team and asks them for help with the tracker(Silently ofc) and after they get it out Krys can speak freely but Krys is worried about her previous boss showing up again.
Anyways her relationship with Herman/Waterboy: Seeing as she doesn't like violence in the first place and is actually pretty kind, she always treats Waterboy with kindness and respect. She always thought he was really cute and wanted to be friends with him, he seemed SO kind in her eyes and that was something so rare for her to come across. She also REALLY likes the water, like she loves swimming and the ocean, so she really associated him with those things that she already loved. Anyways, it was a bit hard for her to befriend him since she couldn't speak to him, and he's already so awkward. She would try gifting him flowers with a water sprayer in the middle, not as a prank but because she wanted to gift him flowers and the water sprayer reminded her of him, however he took that as a prank. Given how she's very emotive in the beginning as well, almost like a cartoon, it was a bit hard to take her seriously. They got there soon enough though, definitely before taking down Shroud. After Shrouds whole thing and then getting her tracker/listener removed, she was finally able to talk and convey the feelings(Not confess yet she's scared, just other feelings, like wanting to get to know him and how cool she thinks he is and how much she admires him) and communicate with Waterboy. Also before she could speak everyone figured she already liked Waterboy a lot because any time his comms would come though she'd genuinely start tweaking out at how cute he is. She's also really awkward once she's able to speak again, often stuttering a lot herself, but def not as much as Waterboy. Eventually she starts getting a more confident with her feelings as she sees how flustered Waterboy gets around her, to the point she flat out just starts telling him and anyone else who will listen that she loves him, but Waterboy has a hard time believing that and so Mimic would continue trying and trying to help him see that her feelings are genuine.
