Quel che molta gente definisce amore consiste nello scegliere una donna e sposarla. La scelgono, te lo giuro, li ho visti. Come se si potesse scegliere in amore, come se non fosse un fulmine che ti spezza le ossa e ti lascia lungo disteso in mezzo al cortile. Tu dirai che la scelgono perché-la-amano, io invece credo che avvenga tutto all'aicsevor. Beatrice non la si sceglie, Giulietta non la si sceglie. Tu non scegli la pioggia che t'inzupperà le ossa all'uscita di un concerto.

I fell in love with the girl at the rock show

If Lapis cared at all, she would have noticed that this was the ninth time she’d heard that song today. The empty cafe’s radio apparently didn’t have much of a selection. But Lapis was apathetic to it all, her only thought being what the heck was a rock show? She was a rock, but she didn’t have her own show.

She didn’t even have her powers, and with no way for her gem to power her body, she had to eat and sleep just like a human. To do that, she needed money. Steven had told her Earth had opportunities...places called coffee shops. So, here she was...working alongside a human. 

They had no customers right now, meaning Lapis didn’t even try to look busy. Would this human rat on her for laying around? Maybe...but there was a way to test how cool he was.

“Hey.” She reached for a bottle of whipped topping from the fridge behind them and smiled. “Dare me to eat this whole thing?”

Click E poi le luci si abbassano, la platea tace d’un tratto … Ssssst … nel silenzio della stanza solo passi di cuoio, gli uomini accigliati e le donne accomodate voltano i loro corpi su un fianco. Si ascolta un fruscìo che svolazza, gli occhi stanchi, gli occhi che bucano, son curiosi e, abituati ormai all’oscurità,si sforzano di guardare….frrrrr frrrrrr è la fodera di un mantello nero che…
