A black sun.

The barrage of black rukh sent alarm down the small of his back. His senses dulled, due to the concentrated negativity of the black rukh. This sensation, it was familiar. He did not need to figure out the identity of his unexpected guest. He already knew who it was. After all, this scene was far too alike their first meeting in Balbadd for him to not be able to recognize this overwhelming presence.

Turning around to greet the other, the younger magi’s smile did not waver. However, his guard was slightly heightened. He would not attack on sight, but he would not allow himself an opening.

That was just how unpredictable his current companion was.
