Diveliner - Eighteen Again
New song by my friend Diveliner!
Ah, how sweet it would be to be eighteen again, so young and naive, innocent and pure, with few worries on our minds and much recklessness driving our unwise decisions! It’s hard not to pine for those carefree days whilst listening to Diveliner’s moody ballad ‘eighteen again’, which falls right in line with what we said in our previous post about a fresh new trend in genre-bending post-electronica, emo-washed hip hop, and bedroom-styled R&B soul. Diveliner is Ellis Grant, a singer songwriter and producer from Ellis Grant. Though we missed out on his prior releases, we’re glad to have caught on to his new single, his first in over half a year. The 23 year old melts us with his warm aching cooing on the rugged yet smooth track, replete with dreamy longing, slow burning guitar strums and a gossamer dreaminess. Stream/download Diveliner’s self-produced single, here.
