claire's career into humanitarian relief has barely started, yet if there's something she's understand quick is that sometimes you just have to deal with the fact that some people simply don't want help - which she could understand in any situation, but this place? not only it give her the creeps more and more every day she's stuck in, but it's also starting to make her think her perception of reality is screwed for good.

golden goblet of wine is passed over in her direction and claire has to think about it for a moment; trust is supposed to be built from somewhere eventually, but then again how could she do it if her mind keeps thinking that everything on the table might be designed to take advantage of her? it wouldn't be the first time anyway.

Fingers tapped on the table near the phone. She had been completely lost in thought. "No, just -- thinking." A few more clicks on her nails hitting the wooden desk. The line sat in silence. Alex was not waiting for the other woman to fill the silence. She just was off in her own world. "This virus you are designing, tell me more about it. I want to understand what you are hoping to accomplish with it. Are you perfecting something? Or just craving to be a miracle worker?"
