Laxus chuckled quietly, leaning against the wall next to her.
"You got stronger right alongside the rest of us, you know," he said simply, arms crossing in front of him. "May not seem like it, since everyone did, but you did, too."
The slight mirth in his eyes faded when she mentioned the guild's time spent apart, eyes closing briefly. Truth be told, Sorcerer Weekly wasn't an uncommon find at Blue Pegasus's guildhall, several copies typically lying around for clients (or guild members) to read. He'd been happy to see Lucy's name start cropping up in the credits of articles over the past year; they hadn't been particularly close, but it was still good to know where at least some of their former guildmates were, outside of their own group that'd moved together.
"...yeah, well. There's writing to let someone know the guild's reforming, and then there's kicking down the door and grabbing 'em. Bob was pretty in-tune with things; I think he knew this'd happen eventually as soon as we joined. Wasn't much we had to do on our end."
He'd miss that crew, though. Not that he'd ever admit it.
@divinitcs asked : [ text ] are you ignoring me?
[CONTACT: *JINGLING KEYS*] no, i'm not ignoring you, lu.
IT WAS A HALF TRUTH. of course his intentions weren't any way malicious, but it's also hard to keep in contact with someone while also trying to plan a surprise for them. lucy's one year anniversary of joining the guild was approaching and the rest of the fire fairies had decided it was only appropriate to celebrate the occasion. this did of course lead to the awkward situation of gray not being the most responsive person whenever lucy was asking where he was, but it was all going to work out in the end.
AT LEAST HE HOPED.
[CONTACT: *JINGLING KEYS*] why do you ask ?? is something up ??
@divinitcs asked : [ text ] can you bring snacks on your way here?
[CONTACT: *JINGLING KEYS*] i thought you said you had snacks at your place. [CONTACT: *JINGLING KEYS*] what makes you think i have the budget for snacks??
WAS HE GIVING HER A HARD TIME FOR THE SAKE OF A HARD TIME ?? yes absolutely. but only because he knew lucy was one of the few people who he could openly do as such with minimal repercussions. he quickly redirected his route to swing by one of the few convenience stores on the way to her place, trying to remember what exactly it was that lucy preferred to snack on.
[CONTACT: *JINGLING KEYS*] ya got 5 minutes to text me what you want or else you're getting nothin

❝ look, you're the one who decided to stay sitting next to him when you should know war is inevitable at this table
GRAY LEANED IN ACROSS THE TABLE, smirk all too present as he waved the offending fork at the celestial spirit mage. a small laugh leaves gray when she aims the spoon at him.
❝ is this your way of telling me you're allying with flame brain ?? i'm hurt. i thought you were smarter than that.
The monster encounters @divinitcs
Berserker looked around. She and her group had agreed to split up for now in an effort to find the source of the strange readings in this singularity. The area itself seemed to consist heavily of Roman architecture, but nobody was around... Or so the monster thought.
