“Boring...” Yuri stated, staring at his phone as he scrolled through instagram. He’d had the night off from practice, and thus decided to grab some food while he waited for the tree lighting or whatever to begin, since he’d heard some people talking about it. However, he hadn’t expected the entire thing to be so boring. Nothing was happening. Everyone that had arrived was either in groups or arriving as couples, leaving the foreigner feeling a little out of place. It wasn’t like he was going to go with his coach, or (god forbid) Lilia. None of the few other city resident he knew sounded like a good idea, either.
( It was times like these that Yuri silently wished everyone from the Grand Prix was around, so he could hang out with them while pretending like he hated it. At the very least, seeing Otabek would have been nice. )
Seeing an opportunity for some sort of excitement, the blonde jerked his foot out quickly just as someone was walking past. A ginger haired guy, carrying one of the free hot chocolates they were serving.
“Oops.” Yuri said quietly, sounding anything but apologetic to the stranger.
