HERE COMES THE BRIDE!
My best friend is getting married! I wanted to do something thoughtful. I saw a lot of DIY baskets on Pinterest, and I had to do it. I figured I would get her stuff to help through the process of planning a wedding. I started out buying a jar from Franchesca’s that came with a notepad and a pen. The notepad says, “Advice for the Bride.” I got that so she could put it out for the bridal shower or something. I then went into Forever 21 and found the almost married hat. She could wear this when she is running some errands planning the wedding. I decided to go back to Franchesca’s, because they had a whole section for weddings. I found a mug that says, “I’m Engaged, Duh!” I figured it was perfect for when she drinks coffee. It also has an arrow, which points to the ring. She loves to take artsy pictures, so it was perfect. After that, I decided to go to Barnes and Nobles to find some type of scrapbook to document every step. Her and her fiancé love to do these types of things. I also picked up a magazine to help with the wedding planning. The last place I went to was the dollar store. I picked up the basket, some fake flower petals to decorate, shrink wrap, the basket, plastic tupperware, bow, champagne glasses, a bag of popcorn and a ring pop. I put a post it note on the popcorn that said, “He POPPED the question.” I also put a post it on the ring pop that said, “YOU said yes!” I got some champagne glasses and champagne so that they could toast. I threw the flower petals ontop, put it in the shrink wrap and put a bow. It was then ready to go. This was a thoughtful and easy way to make my best friend smile. Sometimes homemade gifts make more of an impact.
