I've waited six years for this. Six years of hoping, wondering, doing my best to convince myself I've never needed you-- all while wanting you so badly. Wanting this and the ease of being around you. Wanting to return to the place that's felt more like home than anywhere I've ever been-- my head on your chest with your heartbeat pumping reassurance and safety right into my soul. These years have sent us in all different directions and still, we end up in the same place all the time. No more fighting it. Here's to accepting what we've known all along. Today, my boyfriend was driving my car and we stopped at the gas station to fill up the tank. I handed him my credit card and he got out to pump the gas. As I was watching him in my mirror, he pulled out his own credit card and used that instead to pay. He didn't see me watching him & he didn't say a word about it when he got back into the car. I pray everyone finds someone who is as caring and selfless to them as this man is to me. I am beyond blessed.
