Splinter smiled at the moth counselor that stood in front of him and his youngest son, keeping a hold on the eight-year-old's hand. "I am not a child," he said kindly, "although I appreciated your offer. You and the others here have been most gracious to us in our time in this place, and for that, I thank you."
Splinter gave the counselor a small bow, and Donnie, seeing is father do it, quickly followed suit. Splinter straightened, and then smiled at his son. "However, if my son would like a hug..."
Donnie glanced up at Splinter, grinned, and then ran the few steps towards Moth. He threw himself into a hug, squeezing the counselor as hard as he could. "Thank you," he said. "I had fun here! It was nice to meet other turtles and people. And you do give really good hugs."
