She Drowned in Honey’ is a project, in which the author intended to explore an emotional state from her past using textiles and the body as mediums. The project is build around the image of a girl frozen in an awkward position, encapsulated in this sticky material and unable to move. The inspiration emerged from a period of life where she was surrounded by people who were seeking her attention. It felt like they started to physically stick to her, there was no fresh air around, only a clammy, gluey substance resembling wax and honey.
