The Dodecagram
The Dodecagram is a 12-pointed Star that was a major cult symbol of Allumos's because of his magical connection to the Twelve Zodiacs. 🌟
This shape was engraved all over the early City of Atlantide, surrounding by little offerings and names. This symbol wrought fear among the people due to Grimshade's dark reputation.
The Protectors had tried to destroy as many of these dodecagrams as they could during their attempts to erase Allumos's name and cult from history, but they ultimately failed as there are still plenty of dodecageams hidden throughout the city. If you know where to look... 🌟
The Precious Stones
Allumos was associated with gemstones in general, being given many as offerings. But specific stones were more mystical than others. The Four Precious Stones: Diamond, Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire were most coveted. 💎
Diamonds were Allumos's Tears. 💧
Believed to be Allumos's tears, Diamonds were prized for their grandeur, symbolic of secrets, clarity, and purification. They hold Allumos's greatest secrets and sorrows but are impossible to be seen, let alone be read.
Emeralds were his Allumos's Magic. 🟢
Believed to be Allumos's magic in a crystalised form, Emeralds symbolised of strength, vitality, and peace. Peace as it was Allumos and his supreme Dragon Slayer Magic that won peace for the City of Atlantide against the dragons.
Rubies were Dragon's blood. 🩸
Believed to be the dropped blood of Dragons, Rubies symbolised Allumos's own fury, and mortality. Mortality of not just the dragons but of everyone, even Allumos. In Atlantide today, Rubies are still sold as literal Dragon's Blood.
Sapphires were the Sky's Daggers. 🗡
Beoieved to rain down from the sky, Sapphires were the Might of the Stars, specifically of the Twelve Zodiacs. Sapphires symbolise wisdom, the wisdom of the sky, stars and Allumos. It's said that Sapphires rained on the dragons.
'Silver Street'
'Silver Street' is a known term in Atlantide, it means an unlit path, only lit by moonlight and starlight. It was believed that Allumos's spirit lurked in these nightlit streets and he would lead them astray, to lose their mind. Hence the idiom, "Don't go down Silver Street."
To counteract this, the people of Atlantide would carry candles (in a candle holder) as it's said that Allumos despised any other form of light that wasn't moon or starlight. 🕯
Silver & Gold
Allumos according to scarce legends was made of shining silver and dressed in rich gold. Similar to how the moon is dressed in sunlight. 🌕
Allumos loves Silver and Gold. 🤷♂️
