Do I Follow Them?:  YES of course i follow a dorcas i LOVE Dorcas 

Why Did I Follow Them?: I followed them first on my Marlene blog bc… that’s actually in the fandom Dorcas is in lol but I followed them here too because Wednesday can really be anywhere and I even have a verse for her in Harry Potter! I love your interpretation and want to write with you? that’s why i follow most people. that or cats. 

Do We Role Play?: I have a draft for you!! So yes? But also I haven’t replied yet so not yet? But kind of? On a scale of 0 to 1, with 0 being no and 1 being yes, I’d say it’s a solid .5. 

Do I Want To Role Play With Them: Yes!!! In my HP Marauders verse Wednesday is 2 years older than the Marauders and also in Ravenclaw and I think? Ravenclaw girls?? Being there for other Ravenclaw girls?? yes. 

An AU Idea For Our Muses: Well damn everything’s an AU for us, is it not? For one or the other, at least. I think it would be incredibly fascinating to send Dorcas and Wednesday back in time within the magical world because I think they both have incredible potential to actually fit very well within that world? And then within the older magical world I feel like there’s a lot of potential in things that are very ancient and very powerful, that get lost through time by the modern eras, like the one Harry Potter is written in. I’d love to see them with an ancient magical relic like the Fountain of Fair Fortune in the Tales of Beedle the bard– where are these incredibly powerful, unique things? I’d love to see either the Meadowes or Addams family as people tasked with protecting the integrity of such an item, and the other having traveled to make use of it…. does any of that make sense? Idk I’m sorry 

A Song For Our Muses: fuck i’m so bad at music? Okay but maybe(? maybe?) consider Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins the Musical, however… not quite as cheery? A little dark, toss in some Addams edge… a matter-of-fact tone? Mostly just take the “yes, you make up a word for what you mean if it doesn’t exist, because then it will exist, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” vibe. 

Do I Ship Our Muses?: Kind of hard to build chemistry when we haven’t written much yet! Also kind of hard to imagine when my reply will be of a tinysmol (~7 y/o) Wednesday and we Do Not ship tinysmols with bigtalls.  

What I Think About The Mun: I love what you’ve done with Dorcas, who we know so little about canonically! You seem like you’ve done so much research and you’ve made her your own, I love how she’s nothing like any other Dorcas I’ve seen and she’s still a strong and incredibly well-developed character. You’re always a pleasure to see on my dash and I’d love to get to know you better! 

Overall Opinion: Amazing. There’s so much care poured into Dorcas and I’m so excited to learn more about her as you post, even when you’re writing with other people it’s always incredible to read and see how you’ve developed her! 

Blog Rate: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 | The sheer effort put into this blog puts it over a measly 10 on this bs rating system. The fantastic result of that effort results in one of those squiggle lines on a graph that makes the number jump astronomically high while taking up only a teeny bit of space. And as this is a fair amount of space for one of those little squiggles you can only imagine just how high this number is. Absolutely lovely.

          “ i’m not. i am worried for myself, because if you haven’t noticed, unfortunately we’re in this together. so whatever you choose, the consequences are on both of us. ” perhaps he sounds calm and collected, or like he is just gathering the last of his composure to spell it out for her logically, but the ice in his tone freezes over the edges of his words and renders them sharp.

‘ i belong to my mother’s fear ’

          he paused what he was doing, even though they weren’t supposed to, to study his best friend’s face. fear was not something he heard dorcas talking about very often. ted was one hundred percent sure that of the two of them, dorcas was definitely the braver one — after all, she’d been the one to convince him to join this organisation as well. the thought of something as simple and easily solvable like fear could stop his best friend was difficult to imagine for him. even when it wasn’t even her own.

« are you sure about that? », he asked, saying his thoughts out loud. he furrowed his forehead before he turned to the supplies they were supposed to clean up again, speaking as he continued the work. « i mean— your mother certainly fears many things, but when did that ever stop you, dorcas? she knows you can take care of yourself. she’ll be just fine, don’t you think? »

          « do you really think so? »

          eyes big and desperate for reassurance stared at dorcas. he was holding on to the last little bit of hope he still had left, even though he was well aware he shouldnt; he was naive and dumb and ignorant for still doing so. andromeda had dumped him weeks ago, and even though they’d worked together now, chances were he’d never talk to her again. still, he could not help but imagine every other ending — or at least every good one — the two of them could have had.

          he felt eternally bad for bothering dorcas with this when they should be spending the perfect summer, celebrating their graduation. but she was his best friend, for better or worse, and right in this moment, he needed her more than ever.

          « because i think she can run away like this very well », he added, looking out of the window and staring into the rain. « she’ll just... ignore me forever and marry some pureblood way better than me. merlin— why must this be so hard, dorcas? »

          he clapped his hands. « that was a perfect run! » he’d had to listen to her speech so many times he practically could recite it by heart at her place now— not that he minded, though, on the contrary, he was so proud of his friend that she got to do this and had written such an amazing speech. he could not believe he was friends with this wonderful, incredibly talented woman who would soon speak in front of so many people.  « as promised, i’m going to be the first one standing— hopefully people’ll join me, otherwise it’s gonna be quite embarrassing... »

Sirius had not expected to be caught like this: holed up in the room the Meadowes’ women had lent him, his knees to his chest, eyes red, biting his lip near to bleeding and still not able to successfully hide the fact that he’d been crying just a few short minutes before. Though, since nothing seemed to ever get past the women of this house, he wasn’t sure why he thought this particular break down would be an exception. 

“You don’t know that,” he said, reaching for a cigarette just to have something to do with his hands–and a reason not to face her. “You come from a good family, so you’re good. You’ll never have to worry that there’s some ancient evil inside you waiting to crawl its way out.” He tugged open the window and lit the end, breathing in deeply. At this point, he didn’t even know what true to yourself meant. For years, all he’d known was what he didn’t want to be: evil, Slytherin, prejudiced, obsessed with blood quantum. It was a lot harder to decide what he did want to be.
