I am about to collect my sixth and final Big Paint Star. I have been streaming the game up until now and I can tell you it's fantastic, the battles are fun and the writing is brilliant, quirky and just makes you feel warm and fuzzy. I've been met with challenge and fun and I can only recommend it. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of diverse NPCs. I'm burnt out from seeing all those Toads, I swear I'm seeing polka-dots when I close my eyes. Where's friendly Koopas? Goombas? Hmm...

12. twink, hands down. TEC was adorable in his own way, but that little star will always hold a special place in my heart. <3
16. lol yes i was so emotionally invested in paper mario the first time i played it through as an 8-year-old that when i finally beat it the last night of our family vacation and realized the game was actually over (i kept frantically looking for the post office save button that mysteriously disappeared before peach’s party), it broke my heart. i bawled my eyes out that night and spent the next day at the beach drawing I HEART PAPER MARIO in the sand while my siblings played in the water. it’s hilarious to me now, but it’s honestly one of my saddest childhood memories because i think it was the moment i realized that good things sometimes come to an end. for years after i would still get choked up when i heard the lullaby they play during the fireworks scene at the end :’)
