In a moment of seeming entrapment (#naptrapped as I like to call it) babe fell fast asleep in my arms. My paints called to me from afar, whispering that they would be as quiet as they could if I just tiptoed over, babe in tow. I took the chance.

He flinched. I hushed. He slept. I played.

I found myself doing both.

All that I'm especially glad about is that these yearly festivals end for us next year (I won't have to participate in running for an entire hour in the burning sun ever again 💞) Instead we can either watch the kids doing the sport or some spear throwing (I'll do first)
