So, I've never cross-stitched a thing in my life - mostly because all the things I've ever seen are insufferably girly and twee. Until I started following you, that is, and seen all the lovely vulgar things you've done. I could probably google this, but I'd like your particular insight. Where should I start if I want to learn how to cross-stitch?

My friend Connie Barwick is the about.com cross stitch guru. She's got a lot of tutorials that are really helpful here. If you like the stuff I've made, I think you would enjoy starting out with a Subversive Cross Stitch kit.
